A Man Called Ove

A Man Called Ove is the third most seen Swedish feature film in modern times. Today, the film has been seen by more than 1,7 million people in Sweden, making it one of the most viewed films in Scandinavia of all times. It was nominated for six awards at the Swedish Guldbagge Gala in 2016, where it received the Public Choice Award and two Guldbagge Awards. A Man Called Ove is based on the bestselling book by Fredrik Backman, and is directed by the successful Nordic screenwriter and director Hannes Holm. The film stars Rolf Lassgård, one of the most respected actors in Scandinavia, in the lead role as Ove, and in the supporting cast we find Bahar Pars, Filip Berg, Ida Engvoll, Stefan Gödicke, Klas Wiljergård, Poyan Karimi and Simon Edenroth. The film is produced by Annica Bellander Rune and Nicklas Wikström Nicastro. A Man Called Ove is Sweden's Oscar Nomination for 2017.
